Better Mental Health for All Following the inception of Terkensha Associates in 1978, interested community groups, the North Area Advisory Committee, the Sacramento County Mental Health Advisory Board, the Sacramento County Division of Mental Health, the University of California Davis-Department of Psychiatry, and the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors worked closely with Terkensha so that on July 3, 1980, the doors of the North Area Community Mental Health Center opened. Today, Terkensha Associates receives most of its funding from the Sacramento County Division of Mental Health, and the State Department of Mental Health. Its dedication to the delivery of quality mental health services, geared to meet the needs of communities served is continually enhanced by the participation of community agencies and community advisory groups dedicated to the premise of "better mental health for all" Sacramento County residents. |
